For this wine we use biological grown grapes from two different sites in the Weinviertel. One is southern exposed slope with primary rock soil in Kleinreinprechtsdorf, the other a slope that is exposed southeast with limestone-rich brown earth in Nappersdorf. Healthy and ripe aromatic berries were selected and harvested, destemmed and macerated traditionally for two weeks. The mash is pushed down by hand and after fermentation pressed pneumatically.
The maturation of this unique Pinot Noir was taken place in old 500-litres wooden oak barrels and after in a 2000 l oak barrel. With adequate aging this elegant red wine is bottled without filtration.
